General questions

  • Will NosTale run on my computer?

  • Where can I download NosTale?

  • How much does NosTale cost?

    You can play NosTale for an unlimited time. However, for NosDollars (in-game currency) you can buy useful items, costumes, vehicles, pets and lots more. It's up to you whether you want to use the NosMall or not.
  • Can I own several accounts?

    No problem, you can create as many account as you like.
  • Do I have to tell the Game Master if I own several accounts?

    You do not have to report that you own several accounts. However, if several people log in from your internet connection (e.g. siblings or friends), you have to let a Game Master know. You can contact him via the ticket system or the IRC.
  • Which character names are permitted?

    Permitted are all names that do not break the terms of the T&Cs and do not contain any ASCII Code that displays as spaces.You should also ensure that you do not select a name that a NosTale team member uses - this is considered a 'teamfake'.   • Which class should I choose - archer, mage or maybe swordsman?

    The decision is entirely yours. Each class has its advantages and disadvantages. You can find out more in the forum.
  • When do events take place?

    Events take place most often on special occasions like Easter, Halloween or Christmas. We try to ensure the right mix of small, large, long and short events with various themes and we're always trying to think up some new ideas for you. Information on events can be obtained on our homepage, on the forum, in the game client and on the NosTale fan page on Facebook. Now and then there will also be some spontaneous events, which will not be announced beforehand.
  • When does the server maintenance take place?

    To provide you with a smooth playing experience, the servers need to be maintained regularly. This takes place every Wednesday from 9 until 11 AM. Unfortunately, you will not be able to play at this time. New updates will be being applied, errors resolved and optimisation work carried out.
  • I registered for a game but didn't receive an activation mail. What should I do?

    Please first check that you have entered the correct email address or that the mail hasn't been accidentally sent to your junk or spam folder. If this does not get you any further, then please fill out a ticket.
  • Which NosTale team members are responsible for which jobs?

  • I have been banned. What can I do about it?

    If you want to file a complaint about a ban, please contact the Super Game Master who banned you. Super Game Masters can be contacted via the ticket system or per email.
  • I have a question about the game or wish to file a complaint. What should I do?

    If you have any questions about the game, feel free to contact our support service. Write us a ticket (a special form our support team) at https://nostale.support.gameforge.com/en. As a general rule you will receive a reply within 24 hours.

Questions on the game

  • What is the Rainbow Battle?

    The Rainbow battle is a PvP battle that takes place many times a day, in which two teams of 10-15 members fight it out against each other. As head or deputy of a family, you can register a team with Titus Trip. As soon as some opponents are found, you will be teleported to the Rainbow battle map. Then you have to be quick and think strategically! It isn't about who gets the most kills here, instead it has to do with crystals on the ground that have to be captured, coloured with your team colour and then be defended from other players. Each crystal is worth some points - the team with the most points wins and receives an additional buff that lasts for three hours.
  • What's the Power of Protection?

    The Power of Protection sets your affiliation to either the Angel or Demon factions. These two groups fight against one another in Act 4 on the PvP island known as Glacernon. You can receive the Power of Protection from Fabian Frost on Port Alveus Square, provided you have already chosen a class (swordsman, archer or magician). When you join a family, you will automatically join the faction that their family belongs to. The family's faction can only be changed by the familyhead. For them to do this, they have to acquire either the family version of the Egg for Angel or the Egg for Demons. Players that do not belong to a family can change their faction with the corresponding egg for individuals.
  • How can I sell items that I don't need anymore?

    You can trade with other players at any time buy clicking on the desired player and selecting the 'exchange' option. On top of that you can sell unwanted items in a private shop or offer them to other players on the NosBazaar. To open a shop you have to head to the shopzone either on the marketplace in NosVille or on Port Alveus Square. Bibi Basar, manager of the NosBazaar, can be found on Port Alveus Square, in Desert Eagle City, the Glacernon Citadel and in the shopzone.
  • How can I found a family or join an existing family?

    You can form a family with at least two other players by visiting Mimi Mentor in NosVille or Lucia in Port Alveus. As founder you will be made into the familyhead and will have the most control. If you want to join a family that already exists, then simply have a friendly chat with the members. When a player belongs to a family, it will be displayed in-game underneath their character. It is also possible that you will be asked by fellow players whether you want to form a family together or not.
  • How do I get to the Miniland?

    You can get to the Miniland via the portals in NosVille and Port Alveus or by using the 'Bell of Sweet Home'.
  • How do I change my companion?

    To switch between your captured or purchased animals, you have to first go to your miniland. Select the desired animal with a left click and then click on 'Company'.
  • When will my first partner join me?

    In the level 25 time-space in the Western Mine 2, you meet a brave fighter called Bob. He will help you in the completion of the time-space and will then offer to accompany you on your adventures.
  • To complete a quest I need an empty bottle. Where can I get one?

    You can buy this item at the Western Mount Krem in the 'Pick-Up Shop'.
  • Where do I get the adventurer's shoes from that I'm supposed to get for Malcolm Mix?

    You receive the adventurer's shoes for a quest at the beginning of the game. If you haven't sold them, you may be wearing them or have them in your inventory. If you have sold them, you can always buy a new pair from Teoman Topp in NosVille.

Questions on specialist cards

  • Where do I get specialist cards (SPs) from and when can I get them?

    You receive specialist cards for special quests or from special raids. The quests can be accepted by clicking on the mysterious soulstones that can be found on general maps. Their locations are shown on the minimap. For your first specialist card, you should go to the mysterious soulstone located on the Sunny Meadows near NosVille. However, you will need to be at least level 27 before you can complete this quest.
  • Where can I upgrade my specialist cards?

    Alchemist Malcolm Mix is the man responsible for this in NosVille. Simply go and pay him a visit, he will be happy to help you out.
  • What is the maximum upgrade for a specialist card?

    An SP card can only be upgraded to a maximum of +15.
  • Can I only get points for upgrading an SP card through upgrades?

    No, from specialist level 21 you will also receive points that you can then distribute.
  • What is the difference between 'fail' and 'soul destroyed'? How can I restore destroyed specialist cards?

    A 'fail' means that only the materials that were used have been lost. If the message 'soul destroyed' appears then the SP card is also no longer usable. You can reawaken the soul of a destroyed specialist card by buying a soul revival stone from the NosMall.
  • Is there a way to protect SP cards from possible destruction during upgrades?

    This is possible with the SP Protection Scroll from the NosMall. This item is available for lower levels (improving the specialist card from level 0 to 9) and for higher levels (improving the specialist card from level 10 to 14).
  • Is it possible to keep the materials used during upgrades even after a failure?

    Gold, Wing of Angel and crystal of full moon are all unrecoverable in this situation. The green, red and pure souls will remain when you use the SP protection scrolls from the NosMall.
